This new 10,600 sf Public Safety Facility provides administrative offices, flexible office space for law enforcement, and a large community/training space. There are four double-deep apparatus bays with multiple storage areas, decontamination room, a full kitchen with dinning and day room space, and six dorm rooms creating living quarters for career emergency responders. The project design approach reflects a variation on the city administration facilities, featuring masonry, steel and glass. The project site is reclaimed and was previously occupied by the Public Works Department as a utility laydown yard.
