Architects West teamed with North Idaho College’s Children’s Center staff and an early childhood teacher to develop the initial phases of an enhanced play and learning environment for young children of the college staff and surrounding Coeur d’Alene community.  Our team of landscape architects and architects engaged in a process to program the site utilizing the incredible natural environment encompassing the campus  The stoic Ponderosa Pines provide a separation of spaces and an enclosing overstory to make both children and staff feel as if they are truly in an outdoor classroom.   We can’t wait for the evolution of this space into a true learning environment.
