BISHOP WHITE SEMINARY AWARD
Bishop White Seminary, located at the main entrance to the Gonzaga University campus,
won an Honor Award in the 2010 Robert Fraser Excellence in Masonry Awards that
was sponsored by the Masonry Industry Promotion Group and the Eastern
Washington Masonry Producers Association.
THE SALVATION ARMY RAY & JOAN KROC CORPS COMMUNITY CENTER WINS AWARD
The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Coeur d'Alene,
Idaho receives an Athletic Business Facility of Merit Award. The building
has also been selected as a Building of America Award project and will be a
featured Gold Medal Winner.

ARCHITECTS WEST NAMES MATT KNOLL AS CLIENT DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR 8/16/10
Matt will be responsible for business development and long-term relationship management
throughout Architects West’s market region of Washington, Idaho, Montana and Oregon.
While the position is new for Architects West, Matt comes with 7 years of industry
experience within the Inland Northwest. Prior work experience spans Commercial Construction
and Architecture, including both Marketing and Business Development. Having graduated from
Whitworth University in 2003, Matt holds a BA in Business Management along with a BA in Communications.
BIDS FAVORABLE FOR OTHELLO SCHOOLS – PROJECTS AWARDED 8/19/10
TW Clark Construction of Spokane was recently awarded a $7.6 million contract to provide addition and
modernization work to Hiawatha Elementary School in Othello, Washington. Chervenell Construction of
Kennewick was recently awarded a $7.1 million contract to provide addition and modernization work to
Scootney Springs Elementary School in Othello, Washington.

has been selected as a Building of America Award project and will be a featured Gold Medal Winner

LEADERSHIP COEUR D'ALENE
Congratulations to Scott Sowinski for being accepted to the Leadership Coeur d'Alene
program in Association with the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce. The program is a
two year commitment that begins in March.
NEW HIRE
Marcus Valentine recently joined the staff at Architects West as a project architect.
He is a graduate of the University of Idaho and currently holds architectural licensing
in the states of Idaho and Washington. Marcus has an extensive background in residential
construction, as well as experience as both an associate architect and principal.

LANDMARK AWARD
Landmark Landscape Architects has won the "Gold" (1st Place) award
for
Best Landscape Designer in North Idaho by the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene Living
magazine’s annual readers poll.

She recently passed the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE)
